Nemesis Switchboard is a universal URL redirection server. Its purpose is similar to public services like
purl.org or
snipurl.com: to create permanent pointer, permanent URL. User requesting the URL is redirected to final URL stored in switchboard database.
You can publish the permanent URLs in media you don't have under direct control (such as print them or post links to other websites). When the target URL or technology changes, you simply change the URL in database and the published address stays the same.
